Dr. Nicola’s Diabetic Smoothie

 

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

I Cup of fresh or frozen berries

(Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries)

I 1/2 – 1 Unsweetened Acai packet

I Banana (if insulin sensitive or working out after)

1-2 Large Swish Chard Leaf

I Celery Stalk

I Inch of Fresh Ginger

I Inch of Fresh Turmeric

I Dropper of Stevia

5 Cacao Beans

½ t Cinnamon

1 – Cups of water

Preparation:

Blend ingredients with 1-2 Cups water. Pour in a glass and add fresh blueberries or diced apples so that there are chunks to chew on. This will slow the eating down.

Trave Bag of Veggies

 

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

I Red Pepper

I Fennel Bulb

I Carrot

5 Walnuts

5 Olives

Parsley

Rinse and slice veggies. Place all ingredients in a glass container or BPA free plastic bag. Enjoy as a mid-afternoon snack.

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

I Cup Arugula

I Cup Swiss Chard

½ Avocado

½ Cup Purple Cabbage

½ Cup Jicama

½ Bunch Cilantro

½ Bunch Parsley

I Spoon of Tahini

½ Lemon

¼ Turmeric

¼ t Black pepper

Sprinkle Himalayan Pink Salt

Preparation:

Place all ingredients in a glass container and enjoy!
