26 Nov Diabetics must reduce their consumption of this nutrient…
This goes for everyone, but especially Diabetics… the most important nutrient to reduce in your diet is fat. One reason is that it lines your arteries and blocks the insulin receptors. Another is that if your cells are full of fat they will not need to accept glucose in as fuel. The cells have enough fat stored as fuel.
This is what a pound of fat looks like.
Wild ey? The thing is we think it all goes to one region like our ass or stomach. But in reality fat gets deposited everywhere…
Like in our arteries and on our organs. I’m sure you have heard of fatty liver disease. You have also heard of Heart disease, which is the number one cause of death in America. A heart attack is caused by a buildup of plaque in the walls of the arteries that lead to the heart. A stroke is a buildup of plague in the arteries that lead to the brain. Both buildups are caused by an over consumption of trans and/or saturated fats.
Back in the day people used to collect and reuse the fat leftover in the pan from frying bacon. There was one golden rule though… don’t pour the bacon fat down the drain. Why? Because everyone knew… it would clog the sink. Same goes for your arteries.
