17 Nov Effects Of Fruit On A Diabetic Diet
I slowly incorporated more and more fruit to my diabetic diet. By the end of the second month I was eating 10-15 pieces of fruit a day and yet using 40% less insulin. AND contrary to the popular belief that all sugar makes you fat, I lost 25 pounds. I was back to my college weight. You can imagine how excited I was. You can have the results too! It will just take a commitment. The hardest part of this is maintaining the will power to make the right food choices. Because not all sugars are equal. Fruit sugars absorb easily (if the fat is removed from your diet) and they do not lead to weight gain.
Once your taste buds adjust it becomes easy but the first few weeks can be a test of your strength. I provide a ton of tips and tricks to staying on track in Part 3 of my book: Transition. And for those of you who know you will do better with more support and accountability, I offer a one on one coaching program and will soon implement a group coaching option.
Also coming soon is the healing program that will dive deep into the toxins in our food, environment and mind. That section is essential to watch if you want to prevent or reverse disease. Preventing disease is much easier than dealing with it so do not hold out on watching that presentation!
