Why is it that the kids’ menu is the unhealthiest section on the menu??? Fried chicken nuggets, pizza, mac & cheese, and French fries? These are all heart clogging, completely void of nutrition, fake foods. Cooking in oil and worse yet, frying, creates compounds that are carcinogenic and have been linked to cancer. Type 2 Diabetes and Coronary Heart Disease have been shown to start developing in youth and even in the womb based on the mother’s diet. Please avoid fried foods at all costs!
Now I understand your toddler may not be ready to eat a kale salad but many meals can be adapted even for little ones. The key is not to make separate kids food. One meal for the whole family will teach the child about healthy foods. Lightly steam veggies or puree them into fun flavorful soups. Add peas or chopped carrots so there is something to chew on for the older kids. Just please don’t give up trying and succumb to the dreadful kids menu.
